At the time, he was more engaged in building his business than in focusing on charitable activities. Although he did express some interest in supporting education both at the high school and college level, he never formulated any plan or gave any specific directions with regard to the priorities of his Foundation. After Fletcher Jones died in a plane crash in 1972, the original Trustees of the Foundation decided that support of the private colleges and universities in California should be their primary emphasis. That policy has been reaffirmed by subsequent Trustees and continues to this day. The Fletcher Jones Foundation is governed by a distinguished eleven member Board of Trustees drawn from the ranks of business, law, finance, banking, education and government. The Foundation is administered by a two-person staff, based at its office in Pasadena, located at 117 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 600.To learn more about the Fletcher Jones Foundation, visit Subscribe Community News faithfernandez More » ShareTweetShare on Google+Pin on PinterestSend with WhatsApp,Virtual Schools PasadenaHomes Solve Community/Gov/Pub SafetyPASADENA EVENTS & ACTIVITIES CALENDARClick here for Movie Showtimes 8 recommendedShareShareTweetSharePin it Home of the Week: Unique Pasadena Home Located on Madeline Drive, Pasadenalast_img
