first_imgHead coach of the Congo national team, Claude Le Roy has accused the Ghana Black Meteors team of age cheating.Le Roy who also doubles as the head coach of Congo’s national Under-23 side, made this wild allegation moments after his side lost 1-0 to the Black Meteors in Accra on Saturday afternoon.A 45th minute goal by winger Ebo Andoh turned out to be the decisive goal for the hosts in the Rio 2016 Olympic Qualifier played at the Accra sports stadium.Le Roy who was trying to swerve the question of who the 1-0 score line favors said, “the 1-0 score line is an advantage to Ghana not Congo because they have the three points. But in this Congo team we have six players with real ages, not like some players in the Ghana team today”.Elaborating on his allegation, he said: “Some players in this present Black Meteors squad played in the CHAN 2009 tournament.”“I left Ghana in 2008 some of the players I saw today were part of that CHAN team, so how are they 23 years no or less”, Claude Le Roy mentioned at the post match conference.
