first_imgThe body of 27-year-old Tulsie Prashad, a boat builder of Abrams Creek, Pomeroon River, Region Two, was on Monday fished out of the Barama River, wherein he is suspected to have drowned after he fell into the water while washing his garments on Saturday.Based on reports received, the man, who had migrated to Venezuela since aDead: Tulsie Prashadteenager, had returned to Guyana about three years ago, after being involved in a major accident overseas. He had moved to Barama, where he had been engaged in building boats for individuals and companies in the area.Guyana Times was told that the man had been washing his clothes when the hard brush fell into the water. He reportedly went under the water after the brush, and never resurfaced. A search was launched then, but the body was not found.However, the body was recovered on Monday, and was positively identified by his father, who, with other relatives, had travelled to the area after receiving the dreaded news. A post mortem is expected to be performed on the body today.last_img
