first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, February 25, 2019 at Town Hall (Room 9) at 7pm.There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:Planning Director Valerie Gingrich and Town Engineer Paul Alunni will discuss the town’s unaccepted ways. Several Selectmen have expressed an interest in creating a program to increase the number of accepted ways in town.Selectmen will discuss placing two unaccepted ways — Mink Run Road and Pomfret Road — on the Town Meeting warrant for residents to consider accepting.Selectmen will review the petitioned warrant articles for Town Meeting and discuss the non-petitioned warrant articles for Town Meeting.Selectmen will discuss the details surrounding the recently formed Town Meeting Review Committee.Town Manager Jeff Hull will update Selectmen on the town’s new Economic Development Committee.Recreation Director Karen Campbell provides Selectmen with news about an award for the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility.In 362 Middlesex Avenue news, the Town Manager will provide Selectmen with a memo regarding the Board of Appeals consideration of Betting LLC’s application. Selectmen will also receive correspondence from the Concerned Citizens of Wilmington.Selectmen will decide which of them will serve on the Finance Director/Town Accountant Screening Committee.Selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington Farmers Market to run on Sundays from June 16 through October 23, from 10am to 1pm, on the Swain Green.Selectmen will consider the requests of the Wilmington Band Parents to sell coffee, donuts, popcorn, cold drinks, pompoms, and balloons during the Memorial Day Parade, and refreshments during the Recreation Department’s Concerts on the Common series.Selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington Sons of Italy and Wilmington Band Parents to hold a Yard Sale in the Swain School Parking Lot on Saturday, September 7, from 7am to 5:30pm.Selectmen will consider the request of the Touchdown Club of Wilmington to use the Fourth of July Building’s parking lot for the annual WHS Football Car Wash on Sunday, August 11, 9am to noon.The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-Meetings — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.Wilmington Apple intends to report on many of the items above – and any other news that comes from the meeting — over the next two weeks. Wilmington Apple will live-tweet the meeting HERE.Like Wilmington Apple on Facebook.
